Bearded Dragon enclosure

Question
Hello. I have 2 baby bearded dragons (around 2-3 months old) that live in the same tank and have been getting along fine until a few days ago , i realized one of the beardies was missing his tail tip. I think the other one bit the tail but I'm not sure what happened. The tail healed but it doesn't look quite normal. Do bearded dragon's tails grow back or do they stay like that forever? I've seen many people keep baby beardies together but I was wondering when they have to be seperated so they don't start biting each other. Also , i bought an exo-terra desert wave undertank heater and i don't know if it's safe to use because the bottom of the tank is lined with the kind of foam that you ship things in because i've heard that they're poisonous when heated.
Also recently my beardies don't seem intrested in food anymore. i give them veggiess but they dont even notice it.

Answer
Beardie babies will nip tails and toes of cagemates thinking they are good to eat.  This is normal for then in a confined area.  They will not grow back, but they can and will live normal lives as long as they have all they need.  If you haven't had them to a good reptile vet yet, then if you have had them for two weeks or longer it is high time.  Beardies do go through relocation stress and this leads to a high rise in parasites in the gut, which will suppress their appetites.  Also, at their ages you will need to consider separating them.  Bearded dragons are naturally territorial and need their own space.  In a month or two there will be subtle intimidation and, in the case of males especially, fighting.  If you bought them together from the same place, they are probably siblings, so a male/female will also be disasterous.
Foams under heat will outgas a cyanide product, so either get rid of the foam or do not use the UTH at all. Presonally, I don't like UTHs, and prefer to use ceramic heat emitters.  In nature, warmth comes from above, not below.
