Question
hi there my female beardie is 1 and a half years old and untill recently has been in good health, several weeks ago she got a hair stuck in her eye. i removed it and cleaned it frequently and applied antibiotic cream.  she lost her appetite and became very lethargic after a couple of days of critical care fluid she soon perked up and her eye opened again and returned to normal. her appetite returned for a couple of weeks untill 2 days ago she became lethargic again and today her face is covered in sores and has started bleeding.  it looks like the scales are coming off but it looks sore.  i have a male beardie in with her and they get on fine so i dont think he has done it.  her basking lamp is in the same position it always has been and there is no way she can get close enough to burn herself. i am really worried. please help

Answer
Hello Alison,

Do you happen to have any pictures of your dragon for me?  That would be very helpful.
Could it be a fungal issue perhaps?
What are the temperatures in the tank, & what type of thermometer do you use to measure the temperatures?  A stick on type, a digital probe or a temp gun?
Are you using a UVB light?  If so, what type & brand do you use, a fluorescent tube bulb or a compact/coil light?

WE do need to get this cleared up as soon as possible, to avoid a worse infection.  Please try to get some pictures sent to me if at all possible, thank you.
