Unidentifiable parasitic type thing?!

Question
Hi. I'm hoping this will be the answer to my question. I have a rabbit, about 7 years old. He's been both an indoor/outdoor rabbit but now that he's older I'm keeping him inside. I would say more than 6 months ago i turned him over because i constantly check his body and i found some wierd "things" in his testicles. they feel like a lot of little ball type things. I thought they were eggs from some sort of fly since i kept him outside but ive reasearched and the sypmtoms and identifications arent the same. Some of the things are not perfectly round. they actually look like tiny riverbedstones and they actually seem to look metallic and shiny. these are inside of his testicles (actually just the top layer of flesh, his actual testicles feel fine), and i recently noticed they were also in his scent gland folds. which is why im confused as to why they are also inside of him. They other "thing" is, by now about the size of a B.B. and perfectly round in his testicle. it floats around and can be moved, and this particular one has been there for over 4 months. I dont know that going on, what it is, or what to do. please help.

Answer
Dear Jess,

I'm not sure why you have not yet taken him to a veterinarian, but this is exactly what you must do.  Although your description makes it sound like ticks, ticks don't generally go all the way under the skin.  Without a picture, I cannot even begin to guess what this might be from your description.  Are they dark or pale?  If pale, then they could be small abscesses or inflamed hair follicles.  But I really cannot tell without a picture.

A better and quicker way to get your bunny on the road to recovery is to get him to a good rabbit vet:

for diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

I hope this helps.
