The parasite e. cuniculi

Question
Can the parasite "e cuniculi" be carried in the rabbit parts that are used to make cat food?  

Because my can has the same symptoms that a rabbit has with e. cuniculi, and has been prescribed a rabbit food diet (canned) for over a year, I am wondering if the food might be a potential source of contracting the parasite.

Pat - that is a doozy.  In theory no - because the preperation of canned food includes seritlization that should eliminate the spores.  If you were feeding raw rabbit - could be.  You need to have the cat tested to find out what the problem is.
