Biting and lunging

Question
I guess my question is what can I do to get her  not to lunge or bite at us when we do go into her territory to let her out?  We cannot even reach in to fill her food dish.

Question -
I have a four month old Netherland, she only bites and lunges when we reach into her cage to feed or  pet her. She also makes a grunting noise during this time. After she is out of her pen she is fine allowing us to hold her, pet her and even give her baths. When she is out running around and we get her she's fine. It is only when getting her out of her pen. Thank you!

Answer -
hi jodie- she does this because you are intruding on her territory and she is protecting it.
when she is out the cage it is your territory so she will be ok.

Answer
hi jody what i failed tosay beforeis that she probably wants mating being grumpy and bitin is a sure sign .
but the onl way i dealwith it is to go into the cage and grasp the rabbit by the back of the neck and this calms them down or you could hold a small piece of cardboard or anything similar between your hand and the rabbit to restrain her whilst you get the bowls.
