QuestionMy rabbit got a little too curious about a candle and burned a few of his whiskers. They are not completely gone and I was just wondering if they would grow back or if they had to fall out first before they would grow back?
AnswerDear Rachel,
The whiskers don't grow continuously as the teeth do. But they will eventually shed out and be replaced.
(My bunny did that once, too. It was scary, but hilarious once we realized he hadn't hurt himself. He just had curly whiskers for a few weeks.)
Hope this helps.
