Question
My 3 year old rabbit has had skin issues since I got him. He loses his hair on his back in "patches" but it always grows back. Took him to the vet last year , got tested for ringworm(neg) they gave him antibiotics , but since then he has lost his hair but grew back the same(w/out antibiotics)this time he has lost the hair but it is so dry it looks like dandruff. What can I do? (note the vets in this area I just moved to don't deal w/bunnies)Please help!!!

Answer
Dear Tricia,

This sounds very much like fur mites, not fungus.  And antibiotics will not be effective. The best remedy is Revolution (selamectin) available from your vet.  DO NOT use Frontline!  It can be deadly to rabbits.
