how old to neuter?

I have a holland lop buck that came from a breeder.  She was going to put him down because he was of no use to her anymore.  He is 4 1/2 years old.  Is this to old to get him neutered?

Ps.  I was able to litter train him in a matter of 2 days.

Bless your heart for taking in this rabbit.  Rabbits can be neutered at any age.  The older they are the bigger risk but I am talking 7 and 8 years old.  4 1/2 is certainly not old for a bunny and it is best to get him in for a health check and a neuter as soon as you can.
