Question
Hi Dan,
I neep help. I have a holland lop male rabbit called Eddy Rabbit. I thought he was about 3ish.
Over Thanksgiving weekend we was missing, come to find out he was under the deck not moving his rear end. I took him to a dr and she says he is more like 5ish. I had exrays done blood and she put him on metacam for pain.
but he was still hopping if he had too not because he wanted. Well on 12/9 I get home and now overnight he drags his rear end not hopping at all or walking.
In the exrays he is very heathly and everything is functioning proper. The dr says it is arthritis.
The kicker is (says the dr) he is still eating and drinking more than ever. Bowell just fine. Acts like he is a baby moving all around the front end. Its like its not phasing him.
My question is what now? Can he ever have his back back? Do the make wheels for rabbits?
I gat a call in to dr for more testing as well.
This is our family jewel, please if have anything that would help me let me know.
Thanks for you time.

Answer
Hello Sydnie!
I am sorry to here about eddy rabbit. if you are already contacting a vet I would say he is in good hands. I do know some people have modified a scateboard to help the rear end of their dogs maybe this is something you can look into. It sounds like his back may be broken  but if he still used to bathroom it may not be!
Good luck.
