Question
I have a 2 1/2 month old Holland Lop doe named Maple.  I have a few questions gone unanswered.

1)she won't stop chewing on cardboard!! she's obsessed... and she eats it...she doesn't leave shreds she'll chew on it to eat it..and it's not a little bit.. its huge pieces.  Im scared that it's not good for her to be consuming LARGE amounts of cardboard.  I've bought her wood toys and she refuses to chew those. How do I get her to chew on something thats okay for her? She only likes to chew/eat soft things.

2) she's litter trained (not including fecals)but I notice that she goes to the litter and does 90% in there.. I still find little spots where shes dripped after shes done. what's wrong?

Answer
1) well here are some other objects you can try that maybe she'll enjoy just as much as the cardboard.  An old blanket or towel, but if she tries eating it, you'll want to take it away from her.  A phonebook, rabbits love these things.  They do a lot of digging and shredding on phonebooks.  The ink in the phonebooks is made out of soy ink, and it doesn't seem to hurt them at all if they eat the phonebooks.

You can also try stuffing a paper towel or toilet paper roll with hay to see if that redirects any of her chewing.

2) with the litter box issues, it could be possible that sometimes when she goes in the box it's not to use, but just to hang out.  A lot of rabbits like their box and use it as a quiet place, or a place to go to when startled.

But if she goes in the box and you see her tail go up, she is trying to use the box.  As for the dripping, she's either getting out too early or she may have an issue causing the dripping.  She's pretty young to have any health issues that may cause urine dripping.  But a trip to the vet could rule out any urinary system problems or any skeletal problems that may cause urine dripping.
