Question
Hi,

My daughter just got a dwarf rabbit three days ago.  This afternoon "Chestnut" was playing on my bed.  She left a lot of little gifts on my bed and she climbed on me and urinated.  She also wet my bed. I don't know what this means. Does she like me or hate me?  If you can let me know the reason for this behavior, I would appreciate it.

Answer
Well, if Chestnut is a young bunny she may not have full bowel and bladder control just yet. Contrary to cats and dogs, most rabbits are easier to potty train as they grow up. Spaying and neutering *really* help with litter training as well.

Those behaviors can also indicate some territorial feelings - Chestnut is marking the bed to make sure no other bunny comes along when she's not around. That activity may subside once she settles in and feels secure in her new environment.

Rest assured, it doesn't mean she hates you! If anything, she's marking you as her own ;-) Good luck and have fun with your new bunny.
