Mature Rabbits

Question
I have two bunnies, one is 5 years old (female) and one is 4
(male).  The female has a large amount of loose skin/fur under
her neck that she has developed in the past couple of years.  I
thought that this was due to age, but have been unable to find
anything to confirm this.  Should I be concerned?

Thank you,

A.B.

Answer
A lot of female rabbits have a big "double chin" called a dewlap.  This is usually not a problem, although you should check it periodically for lumps or bumps.

Some rabbit have very small ones, and some have very large ones that they can hide the lower part of their face in.

As long as you don't feel any lumps in it, no need to worry.
