dead baby rabbit

hello my female had 1 baby and i was unaware she was pregnant i found the baby dead in the cage then she started making a nest. can i expect her to have more? we have been checking on her for 2 days now and nothing. why did she birth then nest? does she think her baby is alive? after how many days should i clean the cage and remove the nest?

hi emilie -she will not have any more.
you can clean her out now.
if she was a first time doe she would be a bit nervous and did not know what was happening.
breed with her again and she should be ok -leave her about 1 month then mate again.
