6 year old lop making choking sound, urinating in unusual spots?

Question
Hello, I'm a bit concerned about my rabbit. I have taken him to a vet already about a front tooth that has splintered and grows outward of his mouth. As he chews it breaks off and doesn't get too long so the vet wasn't concerned about it. He's always drooling and I figured it was because of that tooth that he does so. Unfortunately, I just listened to him grinding his teeth as usual but he was making an odd slurping/choking sound. He stopped quickly but I've been wondering if this could have any problem with other weird things he has been doing. He seems very lethargic lately, he sits in his litter box constantly and rarely leaves, and the past couple days he has been urinating in corners other than his litter box which has been cleaned multiple times since he's started this. He eats and drinks normally, and still gets excited when he hears me. I'm afraid something is wrong with him, I plan on taking him to a vet for a check up next week hopefully but beings it is Thanksgiving weekend I wanted to get some info on these problems in case it is serious. He has other problems, such as cataracts in both eyes and a very sensitive digestive system but I don't believe these are why he is urinating in different spots, or why he made that strange sound.

If you would be able to give me a little bit of information or possibilities it would be so very appreciated. Have a nice Thanksgiving.
Thank you,
A concerned rabbit owner :(

Answer
Dear Gsmale,

You need to find a vet who is more experienced with rabbits:

www.rabbit.org/vets

and who recognizes that a problematic incisor can only be the tip of the iceberg.  Constant drooling is a BIG red flag for molar spurs or other problem deep in the mouth, and this must be checked and rectified ASAP, even if it means that bun must be under anesthesia for a proper check and filing.  Please read:

for more information.

I hope this helps.
