Is it possible to cross breed a rabbit with a hare safely.
How can you tell the difference between a male and a female hare.

The ansewr to your question is NO they have different genes. they may mate but the young will not survive. Hares are really different they are born with hair and their eyes are open and they can run. Rabbits cannot move much and are hairless and have their eyes shut for about 14 days.
sexing rabbits takes  on hand experience that I cannot teach on line.
