Question
Hi. I have a little cotton tail named Taylor that I believe is about three months old.  I noticed some matted fur under her arm so I gave her a bath.  Now the sore looks pretty bad, like maybe the bone is sticking out.  I don't have the money for a vet.  WHAT CAN I DO FOR HER. There are other minor skin breaks on her stomach.  Mainly around matted fur.

Answer
hello cliff

your poor bunny must be in so much pain. I really dont think you have a choice you need to take het to the vets asap, it really does not sound good.If it is left untreated it could get infected and can cause more problems.I cant advice you to do anything as i cant see your bunny and i am not a vet.

Here in the uk we have a animal rescue that does not cost, so its for people with not alot of money, have a look and see if there is a place like that near where you live.
you really need to have a think about keeping your bunny when she is all better, rabbits should have a yearly check up and have two different vacinations to stop them from catching VHD (yearly) and MYXMOTOSIS (every 6 months). And the vet bills can be pretty pricey.

hope this helps, hope she will be ok.
