QuestionHello, my daughter was given a dwarf rabbit a couple months old. She has been fed pellets for weeks and no problem. She has an occasional yogurt snack made for rabbits. The bunny was having spasms for a few seconds. Then stops. She is breathing heavy and is shaking. What can we do. No vet available until tomorrow. Small town. Any help will be appreciated.
AnswerDear Ana,
Without knowing the origin of the spasms, the best you can do is keep the bunny calm and quiet and warm. Please see:

for information on how to know if a bunny is ill, and what to do until you can get her to the vet. I hope you can get her there soon, and find a vet who is experienced with rabbits here:

If this is a baby bunny, I wonder if you are seeing the bunny doing a "binky"--a happy bunny dance. She will jump crazily in the air and wiggle, and then run around like mad, and this could make her breathe heavily.
You don't say whether she's eating and drinking normally, and I really don't have enough information about what's going on to give you more than the advice here.
I hope the bunny will be okay.
Dana
