HI..
my dwarf rabbit is always wet around the chin, neck and nose area and has a "not regular" smell around that area.
help please.
thank you

Answer
Hi Nathan,

this is time to go to a good rabbit vet.  He could have a dental problem (causing drooling), he could have a fungal infection or mites, or another viral disease.  The smell is probably an infection.

The responsible thing to do is to go the the vet.  If you need to find a good rabbit vet start here:

www.rabbit.org/vets/vets.html

and find a House Rabbit Society recommended vet near you.

It will not get better if you do nothing.  It will get worse.  You will not be able to get strong enough medicines on your own without a vet.  And you probably won't be able to determine the underlying cause of the problem on your own.  Please get him in right away, most likely he is uncomfortable and unhappy as well.
