Question
My rabbit has diarrhea, so I took her to the vet, he proscribed nystatin for a yeast infection. Now she can't lift her head even when she hops!  I am very worried about her, and don't know what to do next.

Answer
Dear Maggie,

Please read this immediately:

Your bunny has more going on than a yeast infection, and you need to get her to a more experienced rabbit vet:

www.rabbit.org/vets

First, you need to check her temperature to be sure it's not too low or high, and getting it in the normal range can save her life.  Instructions are in the first article linked above.  Once she is stabilized, and in the care of a more experienced rabbit vet, please read this:

If this is a baby rabbit, then read this immediately, as what you describe is an extreme emergency:

I hope she will be okay.
