Question
hello, i have had my current bunny for the past 2 years since she is a few months old.she has always been a really friendly rabbit.however, recently she has became very very terrified over small noises that are coming from everywhere and she dashes at the slightest bit of it and would curl herself up into somewhat like a ball.I noticed this happens most of the time when an airplane flies past.Just yesterday, she attacked, bit and snarled at my dad when he tried to clean her cage. Moreover, i noticed that there are large balls of fur at the corners of her playpen.I have been very worried over her and wonder what is wrong.she is not yet sprayed.please do advice me.Thanks!

Answer
Hi Alicia,

Your rabbit is probably a typical hormonal female.  You need to have her spayed and it should stop the territorial behavior.  As for the fears it may be that she is trying to protect her nesting area or something scared her.

I would try spaying and see if that helps.  If not let me know and we can try to figure something else out.

Good luck

Pam
