URGENT! strange behaviour

My rabbit is acting very robotic in his movement as if he is on edge or there is something wrong with him, he moves about like stop-take animation, constantly turning around, sniffing, moving his head like a meerkat and changing direction, he also stops suddenly and scratches his ear like something is irritating him then carries on running about like a robot, it is very strange he has always moves in a smooth motion when eating, sniffing and playing. he is eating fine although he has been extremely grumpy over the past couple of days and growls when i stroke him. please help i am really worried about him, his eyes are fine and he is drinking fine too.

Dear Kimberly,

Are you certain your bunny is male?  If s/he turns out to be female, she may be having a false pregnancy, which will make her grumpy and acting odd.

But you also want to rule out a medical condition.  So I would recommend you take him/her to a good rabbit vet:

for sexing and a full wellness exam to be sure all is in order.

If this behavior is happening all of a sudden and stops soon, then it could be that bun senses something outdoors, such as a cat or other predator, and is being extra alert.
