On Vacation

Question
I'm planning on getting a pot belly pig someday, however, I am not too sure what to do with it if I'm on vacation. Its not like we are on vacation all the time, just every once in a while. When we usually go, its hiking somewhere in the desert or in a humid forest or something like that. It would be too hard and hot for a pig. My father does not like taking animals with us while on vacation. So, I was wondering what to do with him/her while on vacation. We have two dogs, and whenever we go on vacation, they stay at home. Someone comes to feed them twice a day. Could it possibly be the same with a pot belly pig? What will happen if it gets bored? Do you think it would get bored playing with my dogs? My dogs are very sweet and calm and they are not agressive. Do you think they would get along well?

Answer
Great question, and a problem all of us have.
But it sounds like your pig would be fine, he will have the company of the dogs and you already have someone you can trust?
Your pig will probably just sleep extra....they are good at that.
I think you are wise to leave him at home, he will be fine!
Maybe a friend or relative can stop by for a few surprise visits!
Perhaps a ball, some newspapers to shred, a rooting box or other toys will help.
Good luck, bless you for caring so much about his welfare.
