pot belly after neuter care

Hi Patricia!

My 6 month old male potbelly was neutered yesterday.  I picked him up at 4 pm and gave him half a cup of food before bed which he readily ate.  This morning he got his food again and his pain pill.  He still has yet to pee.  He pooped one tiny piece, not his normal large chunk....Im worried, is this normal?  Can he have internal swelling or something preventing him from urinating?

Often after any surgery their digestive track will slow down.
Usually the Vets advises not to feed them anything until the next day and start with smaller amounts.
Try pouring olive or vegetable oil over any food food he eats.
Don't keep feeding him until he has a normal bowel movement.
Give him liquids only and add the oil to his diet in the liquids for now.
