Questionwhat is the best way to clean my 18 month old pigs ears..in the past i have just swabbed them with paper towels...but they're now really gross looking..I've read on your site not to use water...what do i do? thanks in advance
AnswerIf dry paper towels aren't doing the trick, try using a warm, slightly damp cloth. Be careful to wipe up and out. It's easy to accidentally push junk back into the ear, which just makes the problem worse.
If the ears are really dirty, don't try to get them completely clean all at once. Get some of the junk out, then clean them daily or every other day, until they're clean. After that, cleaning the ears once a week should be enough.
