Is the San Diego City ordinance still the same where you may have a pig under 125# and 18 inches? We are thinking of training one for a therapy animal to take to hospitals and rest homes, etc....We live in the SDSU area.

Zoning ordinances are important, but it's also important to consider other potential problems, like home owners association rules. These rules are just as legally binding as any law.

The best thing to do is get a copy of the zoning laws in writing. If they are not on the city website, you may have to pay a small fee for a printed copy. In court, the ONLY thing that counts is the written law. You can not rely on what someone says on the phone, because the court will not consider that at all.
