My friends rats are ill plz help asap!!

My friend has just called me asking me if i know what is wrong with her rats. she told me they have pussy eyes, have lost their appetite and have so lost a lot of weight and seem to be very listless and lethargic. she has also informed me that the one that seems to be worse is falling off her second level of the cage. she is unable to take them to the vets at the moment due to a lack of funds but is there anything i can suggest her doing for them?

They definitely need to see a vet if they are not eating and have something wrong with their eyes.  The only thing I can suggest for your friend to do for them at home is to keep their eyes clean by gently wiping them with a warm wet rag.  If they are falling off the second level then I would suggest blocking it off so they don't run the risk of hurting themselves.  Try tempting them to eat with their favorite food as well.  They may or may not get better, but taking them to the vet would definitely help.
