Lonely male ratties?

Hi

i feel a lil' weird about asking this question, but after tracking through many pet rat related web pages i'm finally giving up.

I am a so called rattie virgin and i've only had my little boys Ja Ja and Mojo for around 1 month, they play fight as I know they do but the other night when i returned from my kitchen their fighting had turned into something a little more.....well..... sexual and Mojo was lying on his back with his little man poking out with Ja Ja entertaining it? Gosh, I feel really strange for even asking this but is there anything I can do? Is this normal? are they just becoming young adults? I do hope you can advise me.

Hello Kelly,
this is actually really funny. There's nothing you can really do and actually it can be normal. I've seen other animals do it and I am like oh my goodness I hope they aren't gender confused. I think realized that he's probably grooming him and it just looks weird from our end.
