pet rat toys

I am a new rat owner and I was just wondering what kind of toys I can give them? and if they need things to chew on or not?

Answer
They will chew on just about anything if they happen to be chewers - some rats aren't. I know quite a few who would rather not chew and just love to play with their toys.

I use parrot/bird toys, cat toys (provided there are no loose strings or cat nip on them), and even toddler toys for my rats. If you google "fun rat toys", you'll come up with bunches.
