no cefa drops!!! (Boo Boo update)

Well as i said yesterday they didnt have any cefa drops. The vet called me up last night and said he has CHLORPHALM and i can pick it up today or tuesday. I spoke to the lady at the desk (on the phone) and i asked her to spell it out for me, she gave me: CHLORPHALM. But when i googled i got: CHLOROPAM, i dont know which is correct.

Anyhoo, she said to give Boo Boo one quater of a cc once a day. Now, iam a bit nervous about this drug, because all i got from google was 'toxic' and 'pesticide' and i know i shouldnt believe anything that just pops up.

I have another option, i found CEFA Drops online that i can get 15ml for $30.45 and that includes shipping! This Clorphalm is the first i have heard, and i have been looking up websites (including yours and debbies) for months and educating myself on what antibiotics are used most often on rats for URI's and alot of other useful information.

So, what do you think i should steer towards? CEFA drops for $30, or the chlorphalm for $15 and i know nothing about it.

Also, my little brothers rat sounds congested, i think she has the URI Boo Boo has, should i keep them completely seperate till all symptoms are gone? Also, if i get the CEFA drops do you think i could give it to my brothers little rat as well? She is almost 7months old, about half a pound.

No dont separate them...this will stress them out more being apart and stress lowers the immune system. Also, yes, give the other rat the same meds too. As for CEFA drops, I think you need a script for it to be honest but also beware, they could be fakes and make the rat sick. You need to be sure this online place is legit...alot are rip offs.

DebbieD and I have alot of the same info...she is more into nutrition as per my site (I just link to hers or go to it for info myself) and she also sees a few things a bit different than I do but other than that, shes awesome and is a true rat lady!

I am going to try to find out about this chlorphalm whatever... If I break it down some I may be able to find it...

What about Amoxil did they have that?
