Question
if i leave for the weekend can i leave my rats at home? and if so what should i do for them before i leave?

Answer
It's always better to have a pet sitter, either someone you can leave the rats with or someone who will check in on them once a day.  Though you can probably leave them enough food and water to get them along just fine on their own, what if they knock their water bottle over or one of them gets sick or injured?

If you can't find someone to watch them they will most likely be all right if it's just for the two days.  Hang two water bottles to make sure they have more than enough water, as well as a backup bottle in case one leaks, is chewed through, or knocked off, and a generous helping of food.  Make sure the cage is in a cool to room-temperature location and away from any other pets.  Also, make sure you play with them a lot before you go so they won't miss you too much!
