Isabels nose

Question
Hi, I know this may sound really odd but it is genuine. Isabel is a champagne fancy rat. She is eleven months old and was diagnosed with respitory difficulties. She occasionally takes Flexicam to relive this when needed and we have a fantastic vet. She has however developed a bit of a thing for trying to put her snout in my nose when she has a cuddle. She crawls slowly up you until she is nose to nose and then finally settles as close to my face as she can get. It is as though she is tying to breathe with me. She is very affectionate and quite attached, she can get jealous of my husband. Is what she's doing a medical thing or a behavior thing?
It's kinda sweet in a very strange way and as she is not having difficulty breathing, should i be worried. And if not do you know why exactly she is doing this if it is a behavior thing??
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards

Answer
She loves you. Enjoy it.

My rats gaze at me like they are in love with me and when I finally say "what do you want, baby?" I get an affectionate lick right on my chin or cheek.  They also nuzzle in my neck and some of my rats used to bite my ear lobe or try to pull my eyebrows.  Ouch.

I have had females fight over who sat closest to me when they were on my lap the same time and they would push each other with the other one trying to be the one that leans against my body. I used to have to sit there and pet them at the same time or they would fight.  LOL
