QuestionQUESTION: My rat has an odd lump towards her back leg by her stomach. There is nothing visible on her skin and doesn't seem to make her in any pain. She is definitely one who will tell you if she doesn't like something. I gently tried putting pressure on it and she was not in any discomfort. It doesn't even see like it is on the skin or right underneath it. It is hard to locate on the"layer" it is on her.I don't know what this is or if I should worry about it. Should i take her to the vet ASAP?
ANSWER: Hi Kristy
I am going to assume she is at least 18 months old or older?

QUESTION: She should be about 19 months this month. She had an upper respitory infection young if that decreases her chance of living. I live in Morgan Hill, CA. It is by San Jose. I have taken her to KIrkwood Vet in San Jose and I then moved and I took them to San Martin Vet and liked them better. Right now it is about a quarter of an inch big. Please help me.
AnswerThere are no real exotic vets at San Martin Vet so if anything the vets there are regular vets that see exotics. Below is an expert that you should check out.
