I have 3 dogs and 1 cat.. we have kept them out of our room for the night because we didnt want to stress the lil girl out .. We put our hand in the cage waiting for her to jump in our hands with delight! ... No! she dont want any parts of us lol.. she keeps running away from us into this pet box That she made her bedroom I think... Shes very skitsy  and wont let me pick her up...she keeps running.. so I let her alone but I do want her to like me and sit with me ...but I think all she wants to do it get far away from me as she can... Answer
Unfortunately most rats bought from pet stores are not very tame since they are not properly socialized from a young age.  With time and effort you may be able to get her to trust you.  You'll have to win her over by continually handling her gently, even if she doesn't like it.  A good way to socialize new rats is to carry them around in the front pocket of a hooded sweatshirt, which is a place they can be hidden and feel safe but still be near you to get used to your smell, voice, and touch.  If you carry her around for an hour or so while you watch TV or even do some housework, reaching in there to pet her periodically, it may help her get used to you and realize you are not a threat.

You also just got her; sometimes it takes up to a week for a new rat to settle in, especially if they are not used to people.  She may calm down with time and age as well.

If she was kept with males there is a good chance she is pregnant, which would definitely make her less accepting of being held.  There's no definitive way to tell, as most rats don't start showing a big belly until the last week, and some not at all if the litter is small.  The most common signs occur within the last week (gestation is 23 days) which are abdominal swelling, loss of hair around the nipples, and nest building.

Well just keep working with her and hopefully she will come around!  Also you should consider getting her a friend, as rats do much better in same-sex pairs.  I would recommend going to a breeder this time so you can get a much tamer, friendlier rat which may even help her become more friendly too.  Good luck!
