Rats biting

Hello mate ive just got two male rats from a rescue centre and every time i go to stroke or pick them up they go to bite. One of my friends went to stroke one of the male rats and it bit her hard and drew blood. We have alot of children come in and out of our house as we have big family and they want to stroke the rats how do we go about stopping the rats biting. i would be greatful if you could help me thank you for your time in reading this email yours Sincerly Robert Freeman.

That's really unfortunate that you've got two biters on your hands (no pun intended). It can often take a while to socialize these kinds of rats and the same things don't work for everyone.
