Question
i have a couple of rats, mango and link, link seems to always bite if he gets a chance to, but hes not aggressive, and loves being pet and scratched behind his ears, i can even pat his cheek, but when my finger crosses his nose he usually will bite.. i automatically react and pull away, but i am wondering, if i just let the rat bite, and leave my hand there, would he realize i am not food, and perhaps not bite again?

Answer
Hi Levi

If your brave enough, try it and see what he does. Remember though, if he does bite down, its your fault, not his, and be sure not to jerk away or you can pull him with you and he may go flying across the room.  Rats have been fatally injured this way.

He probably wont bite hard once he knows its not food but if your that curious, try it.  :)
