questions about my hamster!

i have another question,..
i bought a hamster last saturday, april 11, 2009.
this  hamster is always sleeping(he is my third hamster and already dead), not eating and not drinking,..his feces smells so bad and when i clean his anus, i saw a big hole and its so smelly and smells so bad, also i think it hurts for him because everytime i clean his anus he wanna escape in my hand,...
my hamster bite me and a blood came out,...in the next morning i just saw my hamster dead,... my question is--> do hamsters have rabies? because i am scared that i can have rabies,... i bought this hamster in a pet shop where i bought my first two hamsters,... help me i am scared! T_T

No, do not worry.  Hamsters do not carry rabies.  Although all warm blooded mammals, including humans, can get rabies if bitten by a rabid animal, small rodents are almost excluded because of their size.  

For starters, she was raised in a pet store.  She would have had to been attacked by a rabid animal from the pet store and also would have to be able to live through the attack which is not very likely. Hamsters, gerbils, rats and mice do not normally pass rabies along so dont worry.

I do think you should report this pet store though and stop going there because they dont seem to sell very healthy hamsters.
