QUESTION: me and my mom were heading there and about 20 min into the drive my rat began spazing out and was shaking and then the next thing i noticed was she was twitching all over and then her bowls let loose and she wasnt breathing anymore. But what was real weird was once she was gone there was this premature baby rattie coming out. so premature that only the head and front legs were only developed. its bazaar. do you think she died of premature birthing?

Answer
No, I doubt it.  She died because those pups were lodged in her and she was in labor way to long. She should have had a cesarean alot sooner. Its a shame you couldn't find a vet for her sooner. I am sorry you lost her and her babies.  I knew this would happen if she didn't get help soon.  Do you have more rats? If so, at least now you know where you can go for a vet, even though its kind of far.  I can try tomorrow to find someone closer!
