my rat b-boy is sick

hi i have a big problem my rat b.boy is sick and I'm from Spain here is not common at all to have rats as pets so i cant find a vet for him but my housebound is a vet and he knows a lil a bout rodents... the thing is that 2 days ago he started to breath heavy and to make a lot of squeaky noises we assumed it myco and we started the treatment right away with ibafloxacine 0'4ml 2 times per day he got a lil better the next day but today he seems worse so we wanna combine the treatment with doxiciclyne once per day in addition to the other antibiotic is that ok??? is it normal that they improve and then they get worse again?? i have him in a room with a humidifier and a heater and I'm giving him fresh veggies like carrots and pumpkin fruits like apple, yogurt too.... what else can i do ??

I have a list of over 20 vets that see rats in Spain.  Where are you located in Spain and I will happily give you some names.

He has pneumonia, possibly from myco, but its important he sees someone that can give him the proper meds.  He needs more than antibiotics.  He needs medication to open his airways to help him breathe.  


Anyhow, there are tons of vets that see rats in Spain so please let me know your location.
