multi mammats lose use of leg

Hello, just to let you know pixie died in his bed a week last friday night, i did everything i could with different things but it was not enough, im wondering now if i did too much by giving metacam and antibiotics, he got very thin and i could feel his bones even though he was eating and i put a low water bowl for him and would even hold him to get a dringk, as i work 2 nights a week and it was a night i worked maybe he did not get enough water, ive been thinking all sorts since it happened. Now his two brothers booboo and dixie have both lost the use of one of their back legs, they are eating and drinking but sometimes fall over, as yet i have not given them metacam, ive bought apple baby food to help and glucosamine Chondroitin &msm complex liquid to syringe into them but i thought i would ask your opinion first before i did this.Thank you for your help

I am so sorry for your loss.  I wish I could help more but all I have to give are educated guesses.  One thing that comes to mind when dealing with  this type of ailment could be heart related or could be related to an embolism of some type.  I do not think metacam or antibiotics contributed to her death so dont beat yourself up by blaming yourself for her death.  I am not experienced at all with multi mammmats as they are not legal here in the United States, but cant imagine they are much different than fancy rats other than the fact they have more nipples than our fancy female rats have.
