Question
hello,  I would like to be a breeder.  Do you know where is the best place and reliable place to order macaw on the net?   and where buy an encubator? where to order weening, feeding tools?

Answer
Hi, Greenfrog.  Thanks for posting!

No I don't know a reliable place on the internet to order macaws (or macaw eggs).  I wouldn't order a macaw (or eggs)on the internet...you have no idea who you would be buying from or even if birds are available or if they are healthy or not, tame or not, eggs viable or not, etc., etc.  I'm sure you'd have to pay in advance (which I would never do), then the bird would need to be shipped (which is a whole problem in and of itself).  You need to find a macaw breeder locally and purchase a handfed, just-weaned baby macaw (or other species of parrot).  A macaw really isn't a type of bird you should start out with.  I do not recommend purchasing macaw eggs on the internet either and trying to incubate them, especially since you don't seem to have any idea what you are doing!  If you have no experience with parrots, you cannot just become a breeder.  You should start out with a single bird and take time to learn all you need to before you even begin to think about doing what you want to do.  I've been breeding/keeping birds for over 18 years and I learn new things every day!

Yes, I know where you can get incubators and everything you would need, however, I would be an irresponsible aviculturist if I were to help you acquire these things when you don't know what you are getting into.

Start with my website and another good site below, and then start educating yourself further before you even attempt to get involved in parrot breeding:

There's an enormous amount of information on the internet, too.
