How do I tame my Budgie(s)???

I have two keets, and been having them for a while now (one is 3-4 years old, and the others about 6 months). I have finaaly had the patience to tame them, and have been looking for advice. The food on your hand trick isnt working for me, so i want to take them into a room to tame them, but how do I do that without grabbing them out of the cage into the room? Or do I even have a chance? I hope its not too late

The room method works wonders even on older birds, you should be able to get them partly tame(stepping up to come out of cage and the same to go back it). I wouldnt expect them to be shoulder hugers thou. The only way I know of is to grab them from the cage, I always clip wings but it may not apple to you it does really help. You must do the room method one by one and not together or you will have zero succsess. I am sorry I couldnt be of more help, good luck with the tweeters.
