Myers Parrot vomiting

Question
Myers Parrot was vomiting but has now stopped.  It was definitely not regurgitation.  It is clear. Last night, the vomiting occurred two or three times over a 30 - 45 minute period then stopped. Our parrot is able to perch , is drinking water and has regained some of his appetite but still looks and acts lethargic.  He was also voiding at the same time.  This has also stopped.

Keiki bird was more responsive this morning but not his usual self.

Answer
This IS an emergency care situation. Waiting and seeing what happens is not an option. Your medical caregiver will likely do a crop swab and other cultures to determine whether the source of this problem is bacterial, fungal or anything else. I also recommend that you allow a DNA profile just in case you haven't done so. These can indicate the presence of disease that would go undiagnosed until symptoms are advanced.
Remember, above all, that by the time a human sees a problem in a bird, the problem is very likely quite far along and there's no time left to waste.

The best part of this is that it's still early enough in the week so you can have him seen without it being the hugely costly nighttime or weekend emergency; however, even if it were, it would be my strongest recommendation to get him seen, no matter what.
