Am really needing to pick someone brain ths evening about a young (healthy) cockatiel that died in my arms.  Was fed a dietof seed and greens  was careful about where the green came from .  Knew what I grew, has been eating this mix since she went from formula to seed.  She was hand raised, born in july.  HONESTLY healthy  but then this afternoon she began to shake, and look dispondant held her she liked that and while holding her she just slipped off.  I placed a honey treat in her cage  especially for Pinson Finch.  could ther have been something in that seed mix she shouldn't have had?  She ate it where my other teils have not.. Sorry to hear about your cockatiel. I really don't think it would have been the seeds. I would say that it could have been possible that it was toxic fumes or something like that but your other birds haven't been affected. The only way really to know would be to get a post mortem done which would be a very good idea incase its something infectious, then your other birds could get treated. I would recommend changing to pellets, not because seeds are dangerous, just because pellets provide better nutrition. Good luck and try not to blame yourself. Take care
