Question
Hello Doctor,
This is Hiten here. I had got 2 baby parrots from a person who had not kept them in a good condition. I think they are alexandrine parrots they are now 3 months old, but i want to make it sure whether they are what species so can you please tell me so that i can send you the pics of them & you could analyse the species and confirm me please.
I also want to know how would i come to know their sex so is there any way i can know about it, if yes will i have to take them to vet for a checkup. I do take the babies for routine checkup & the Vet says their health have improved a lot as compared to before. I there something else i should do for them?

Awaiting your reply.

Thankyou so much for your valuable time.

Answer
Here is a very good resource to help identify your birds' sex, but in some cases only a DNA evaluation will do it
