Question
I have a Masked Lovebird that lost its mate.I don't know if I have the male or the female.I was given a Whiteface Blue which I put in their bird cage(32"x 32")I have watch them very closely to see if they were going to fight and they seem to get along real good with each other.

I don't know what gender the whiteface blue is.I know the Whiteface blue is a mutation of the Peachface. The whiteface factor is found only in the blue series lovebirds. My Question:

The whiteface is building a nest in the nesting box.Are females the only ones that tuck building materials under their wings and behind their wings? and is the Masked and Whiteface belong to the white ring eyed lovebirds?

Answer
The masked lovebird is a different type all together yes they can breed but it should NEVER be premited remove the nesting box for many a year lovebird breeders have strived to keep the lines clear...selling Mutt lovebirds also is no easy task. White rings lovebirds are the masked and ficshers whiteface lovebirds are just Peachfaced lovebirds in another color morph
