i know you specialize in Degu they more or less like rats and mice was wanting to know Is it cruel to smoke weed or tobacco in the same room as you rats e.g trying your best not to blow it in their direction but your still in the same bedroom?

Answer
Anything smoked around animals is harmful to them.  They will also be affected by the particles on your clothes (and drapes, rugs, etc) long after the visible smoke clears.  Since their respirations are much faster than yours, they have even more exposure than you do.
