Question
hi my mouse has just gave birth to about 6 young ones and i was told by the pet shop i got them from that they were bothfemales and both non pregnant when i baught them and i was wondering what age i can sell them and what age i can hold them thank you.

Answer
Dear Billy,

The pet store was wrong.  If you have a boy you had better take him out of the nest; in that case you are already going to get a second litter in three weeks.  The pet store should take the babies (providing you tame them).  They can leave their mother at 3 1/2 weeks.  It is best you not hold them until they are a week old.

The link I gave you last time has all this and more important information about mouse husbandry (breeding).  Here it is again:

Please follow the links within it.  You need to know this information to safely raise tame babies.

Best of luck!
