Making mouse toys

Can I use non toxic glue to create a house for my mice? I was thinking of using newspaper, water, and safe glue. Would this be harmful to them if they chew on it? Do you have any other suggestions for making mice things?

Anything that is safe for children, such as Elmer's Glue or children's paste.  Paper mache would work also, since it's made with flour!  But if you really want to be careful, don't use newspaper because of the ink.  Use blank paper or construction paper instead.
