plastic and mice

all i want to know is can plastic poison mice b/c i have a spiny mouse and now hes not acting right b/c he ate plastic

Dear Nick,

Although the nature of *most* plastics is to be undigestable and therefore not poisonous, that very quality means they can clog up the internal organs of the mouse because it cannot process it.  You'd better take the mouse to the vet as quickly as you can, along with a sample of what he ate.  

I hope he is ok.
