who got mouse pregnant?

I have to field mice male and female she got pregnant had 5 babies since have separated males from females, but she pregnant again could he have gotten her pregnant again before i separated them or could it have been one of the babies they are about 4 to 5 weeks old?

Dear Margo,

If a mouse has babies and the male is still in the cage, it's more than likely that she will get pregnant again that day.  So if you separated them after you saw the babies, it was too late.  5 week old male babies are possibly barely old enough to mate, but less likely.
